ABA Mastery is a mobile-first study platform for aspiring Board Certified Behavior Analysts. It pairs an adaptive quiz engine (domain drills, quick quizzes, full mock exams, and targeted weak-area practice) with scenario-based questions, detailed answer explanations, and original literature references. A weighted readiness score, per-domain mastery tracking, streaks, and a personalized onboarding plan keep learners focused on the areas that move the needle most. Built as a PWA on a Hono + Drizzle + Postgres backend with Redis-backed sessions and auth, and packaged with Capacitor for native iOS and Android. All question content is original and not affiliated with the BACB.
What it does
- Adaptive quiz engine with six modes (domain drill, quick quiz, weak areas, mock exam, cumulative quiz, and course midterm), each with its own question-selection strategy
- Readiness score weighted by BACB exam-weight percentages, with per-domain mastery recomputed from answer history
- AI tutor built on the Anthropic API that explains why an answer is wrong, not just that it is
- Live quiz sessions held in Redis with per-question answer logging, streaks, and an exam-date study plan

Trainees struggle to find supervision. Newly certified BCBAs cannot supervise on their own for their first year. Senior BCBAs have years of experience and nowhere simple to put it to work. Spriggly connects all three, and opens a direct line to families who need help with everyday challenges like potty training and tantrums.

Why the third one matters
Under BACB rules, a BCBA certified for less than a year can supervise trainees only while getting at least an hour of consultation a month from a BCBA certified for five years or more. Spriggly makes that match, so everyone in the chain gets something:

Why I’m building this
I’m a Registered Behavior Technician studying behavior analysis at Florida Tech and working toward national certification. Every app here started as something I needed on this path and couldn’t find, or found only in a form I didn’t love.
Before ABA, I spent ten years building systems the State of Hawaiʻi depends on. I want to bring that same care to the tools our field uses every day.
