Pacific Watch
A free, real-time Hawaii emergency preparedness dashboard, funded by me and community donations. Monitors weather, earthquakes, volcanoes, surf, air quality, power outages, and more.
Pacific Watch is my way of giving back to Hawaii. It's a completely free emergency preparedness and real-time monitoring dashboard that helps residents stay informed about weather, natural disasters, and other hazards so they can plan ahead and stay safe. There are no ads and no paywalls; I build and run it myself, funded out of my own pocket and by voluntary community donations. Under the hood, it aggregates data from over a dozen government and public APIs (including USGS, NWS, Hawaii DOH, and Hawaiian Electric) into a single, easy-to-read interface. Users can monitor earthquakes, volcanic activity, surf conditions, air and water quality, power outages, health surveillance trends, and live traffic and scenic cameras. The app also provides evacuation shelter locations, tsunami zone maps, and interactive preparedness tools like bug-out bag planners and emergency checklists.
